There are times when posting a photo is an extremely painful and sad thing. My father passed away on Thursday this week. He was 94 years old!.
I have kept some great memories with me. memories like the first time he took me to a stadium to watch a game, oh the awesome feeling!. I remember him playing soccer with me, man he could shoot that ball. I remember him going off to war as a captain in the Army, what a patriot he was!, firm, disciplined, of strong convictions. I remember him coming back from war and what a joy to see him back alive!.
I remember him dancing with my mother (in the picture above) in the living room in our house that very night, I remember almost the entire neighborhood coming to our house to hear my dad tell stories from the battle field. I was so proud of him!.
Later on in life, I remember counting on his wise counsel as I was growing up and his support when I went off to college and got married.
I owe my father a lot, A LOT!!!.
My family and everyone who knew him were very blessed to have him all these years.
I thank and bless the Almighty for him.
To my Dad:
Dad, I love you and I will miss our talks, thank you for the life you gave me and what you taught me with your example, I will always honor you, I'm so proud of you!.
Good bye Dad.
